Dry Lining

For many of our social housing projects we provide dry lining to each house. This is a different method to plaster. Instead of applying a wet plaster to the surface, we use plasterboard to build the surfaces, ceilings and partition walls. The advantages include no waiting times on plaster to dry and it helps to avoid problems with hairline cracks which can sometimes occur.

Plasterboard comes in various types:

  • Moisture Resistant
  • Fire Resistant
  • Sound Proofing
  • Foiled
  • Plank Board

Hill Contracts use three main brands of board, Siniat (Lafarge), Gypsum and Knauf. All these brands differ in the makeup of each board and therefore the type of board can differ with each project.
